Span Meter Panel, A Smarter Electrical Panel

The SPAN Panel and SPAN Meter Panel are smart electrical panels designed to modernize your home energy system by completely replacing your existing electrical panel, whether new-build or retrofit. The SPAN Meter Panel is a one-for-one replacement for “meter combo” style breaker panels, for regions like California and parts of the Southern U.S. which require the utility meter bulb and breaker panel are combined into a single enclosure. With SPAN you can control and monitor every circuit in your home from your phone, understand how your home is sourcing, storing, and using energy in real-time, and modernize your home without worrying about your existing electrical system. SPAN may be paired with any grid-tied solar inverter. No communication wiring is required between SPAN and solar systems without battery backup. The circuit breaker feeding the solar inverter must be installed in your SPAN Panel to allow SPAN to monitor your solar production. SPAN Panels replaces your existing electrical panel to become the central energy management system for your home. SPAN Products are controllable via the SPAN Home App. All circuit breakers in SPAN Panels are serviceable by an electrician. A SPAN-certified technician is required to service the internal assembly and internet-connected computer, though this is easily done without the need to remove the panel from the wall. SPAN is installed by a SPAN-certified electrician, and installation costs the same as replacing a traditional electric panel or installing an EV charger. Over-the-air (OTA) updates are always free to deliver the best experience to our customers. Today, SPAN is only available in the United States. In California, Arizona, Texas and Florida SPAN will work with homeowners to manage the selection and installation through SPAN certified service contractors. For all other states, SPAN has a fast-growing network of certified installers that we can connect you with. We do not yet support international markets. SPAN Panels come with a 10-year warranty.
